LandLink Consulting Ltd. is a firm based in
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The company was formed in
1995 to provide disaster recovery services to
governments that assist the victims of natural
disasters. Our primary business experience,
administering Disaster Recovery Programs for the
Alberta Government, has involved over 70 programs since
1995. Over $350 million in disaster financial
assistance to individuals, businesses and government
agencies has been paid out to eligible claimants
under these contracts.
Our experience has confirmed that the key factor in this business is the management of expectations of all the stakeholders. These stakeholder groups include provincial and federal government agencies, municipal governments, First Nations, individuals, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Natural disasters affect everyone, but not all victims are eligible for assistance, and definitely not all losses are eligible under existing government programs.
Our firm provides immediate implementation of a disaster recovery program once the provincial government approves a program. LandLink provides a turnkey solution for the administration of the program, right from establishing local claims processing centers to negotiating the final federal audit. We also provide advice to senior provincial government officials who are responsible for policy issues.
